Christian Steiner is managing partner of the law firm ULE & STEINER, which manages the international legal practice MIDEAST | Law, and is based in the Casablanca office for the Maghreb subregion. Christian has more than 20 years of professional experience in business law, public law, arbitration, project management, policy analysis as well as rule of law promotion. In his international professional life, Christian has been involved in a wide range of activities in the areas – and intersections – of business, politics, law and development cooperation. His experience is relevant to advising on international cooperation and cross-border business engagement, particularly in countries where there are challenges to the effectiveness of the law, the reliability of government action and the transparency of business competition.
Christian has worked in Germany, Spain, the Maghreb and other MENA countries as well as in Latin America. Christian currently advises represents and advises a broad client base of national and multinational companies on various aspects of business in the Maghreb region.
He studied law in Germany and Spain and holds a PhD of law of the University of Frankfurt/Main. Christian is a member of the Berlin and Sevilla Bar Associations as well as of Cross Border Business Lawyers (CBBL), the only worldwide network of German lawyers, and the German Professional Service Alliance (GPSA), representing the Maghreb States.
Christian has published books and articles, delivers lectures and participates in workshops at international conferences on Maghreb business law.
Interjuridical and intercultural communication competence as well as the knowledge of several languages distinguish Dr. Steiner for international legal work.
He speaks German, English, Spanish, Italian, French and some Serbo-Croatian and Arabic.
