Kenji Hirooka has been advising companies, from start-ups to multinational corporations, over the past 20 years, in connection with their M&A transactions, joint ventures, setting up a business, and handling other key issues for their business including resolving disputes in Japan.
Kenji is a partner at Anderson Mori & Tomotsune, which is one of the largest Japanese law firms having more than 450 professionals in Tokyo and other 8 locations. Kenji belongs to the firm’s Corporate Group and Information Technology Group.
He holds a Law Degree from the University of Tokyo in Japan, and Master Degrees in Business from Cambridge University in England and in Law from University of Southern California in the U.S. Kenji was a lecturer in Advanced Corporate Finance Course at Seikei Law School for 3 years.
Kenji was the national representative for Japan of AIJA (International Association of Young Attorneys) in 2012-2015, and is also a Vice Chair of Tokyo City Chapter of ABA (American Bar Association) Section of International Law (SIL), and Co-Chair of East Asia Committee of ABA SIL.
He is qualified to practice law in Japan and New York of the U.S. and speaks English and Japanese.
