Simone Padoan is a consultant in the field of organisational and development strategies for companies and economic systems. For 16 years, he was vice-president of a provincial trade association in the industrial sector, with responsibility for business competitiveness and territorial development, and has held senior positions in entrepreneurial and technical-scientific associations that aimed to organise the development of international trade relations.

Simone’s work is aimed at public bodies and agencies, business associations, consortia and individual companies, for the organisation of complex internationalisation programmes. During his career, he has collaborated with and been a member of advisory committees and working groups of Chambers of Commerce, trade fair organisations, ministries and local authorities in Italy and abroad.

Since 2023 he has been collaborating with OPERA, a research centre and European observatory for sustainable agricultural development, at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, on the subject of internationalisation and the promotion abroad of Italian wines with sustainability certification.

In 2024 he launched the portal www.winefigures.com, an observatory of world wine trade, in collaboration with OPERA and the Legalmondo network.
