Marta Trindade has significant experience advising national and multinational companies on the execution and termination of employment contracts, transfer of undertakings/acquired rights directive related matters, disciplinary actions and procedures, redundancy and collective dismissal procedures, stock option plans and fringe benefits.

Marta consistently handles matters from Clients in different sectors based in several jurisdictions and is very used to deal with international Clients.

Being used to work with very short deadlines, in matters involving several jurisdictions, Marta puts special focus on the practical side of the assistance to Clients and in understanding their activity and specifics, having always in mind that companies need advice tailored to their specific needs, based on a 360-degree view of the issues and the business, creating complete and practical solutions.

Marta has been a speaker in numerous employment law events, both at national and international level, and in the context of AIJA – International Association of Young Lawyers for 16 years, where she has served as Executive Committee Member, Vice President and President of the Labour Law Commission, National Representative for Portugal, Co-Work Coordinator of the 2012 Barcelona Congress, officer of the Law Course Committee, and has organized several seminars.

Marta was distinguished by Chambers Europe in the Employment Law Practice Area in 2012 and by Women In Business Law Guides for 6 consecutive years.

Marta is with Abreu Advogados since 1997, being Partner since 2007, working primarily on labour law issues, as well as with business restructuring operations.

She speaks Portuguese, English, Spanish, some French, and some Mandarin.
